Staff: Kami Neves, CMHC

An experienced Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Kami has worked for over 15 years providing therapeutic services for youth and families experiencing complex trauma and living with chronic stress.

Kami started her career at The Children’s Center providing family therapy for young children and parents and received training in several trauma informed treatment models. She has led programs at the House of Hope and YWCA.

She has spent a considerable amount of time training organizations and other mental health professionals on the impact of trauma on the family system, staff and organizations and ways to overcome the effects of traumatic stress.

Kami is passionate about helping parents connect with their children and developing programs focused on increasing protective factors that help children live happy and healthy lives. Friends-Utah is fortunate to have her leading our progam team.
