Executive Director Kelsey and Friend Will shared all about our professional mentoring model on ABC4 Good Things Utah.

Kelsey Lewis, our Executive Director, and Will Medina, one of our professional mentors, recently joined Good Things Utah host Nicea DeGering to talk about our unique professional mentoring model and the power of relationships to bring transformational change for children facing difficult challenges.

They covered a lot in just a 5-minute conversation! Kelsey described our commitment to walking alongside youth for 12+ years and the two-generation approach Friends of the Children takes by supporting and empowering both youth and their families. Will shared why he thought ‘Friend’ might be a fake job title, some of the changes he’s seen in the youth he mentors, and even how he is learning and growing himself through his work as a professional mentor.
