Our Story of Professional Mentorship and Belonging
At Friends of the Children - Utah, impact isn’t just something you feel. It’s something you can measure. Through long-term relationships with full-time, professional mentors, children facing the greatest obstacles are building brighter futures. They are supported every step of the way by their mentor, called a Friend. As Kathleen Pitcher Tobey of the Call Foundation, shares, “This is more than a beautiful story. We can see the data that actually shows deep impact in the community.”
This is the power of consistency. Of showing up. Of believing in a child. Because at the heart of it all is possibility.
As Executive Director Kelsey Lewis explains, “One of the most important functions of a Friend in a child's life is to help them see what is possible.”
That belief, paired with 12+ years of unwavering support, helps rewrite what a child thinks their future can be. And as those futures are built, entire communities begin to transform. Watch to see what that looks like right here in Utah.
